Editorial Policy
Later Life Health publishes independent articles about health after 50. This page explains how those articles are produced, how the site makes money, and what we deliberately do not claim. It applies to every page on the site.
Who publishes this site
Later Life Health is an independent publisher. Articles are researched and written in-house and published under the site name. We do not use invented author personas, borrowed medical titles or stock photographs presented as staff.
We are not a clinic and we are not physicians. Nothing here is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. When a question needs a clinician, we say so on the page and link to the relevant guidance.
How we research
- Public clinical guidance from the NIDDK and NIH, ACOG, the American Urological Association, the NHS and Cochrane reviews.
- Manufacturer documentation: ingredient panels, dosing, prices and refund terms, read from the seller’s own pages rather than from affiliate summaries.
- Published studies where they exist, including the ones that weaken the case for a product.
When a claim depends on a source, the source is linked or named on the page. When there is no study on a finished product, we say that plainly instead of borrowing evidence from its ingredients.
What we do not do
- We do not claim hands-on testing. No one here swallows the products we write about, and no page on this site says otherwise.
- We do not promise results, cures or a timeline for improvement.
- We do not publish before-and-after photographs, invented testimonials or fabricated customer stories.
- We do not present affiliate commissions as editorial independence. The two coexist, and the disclosure on each page says so.
How we make money
The site is funded by affiliate commissions: if you buy a product through a link here, the seller pays us a percentage at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed at the top of every page that contains an affiliate link.
Commission rates do not decide verdicts. Every commercial page we publish includes the reasons not to buy, and the reviews name cheaper or better-evidenced alternatives where we know of them. Where a free option exists — pelvic floor training, bladder training, a conversation with a doctor — we point to it.
We do not accept payment for a positive review, and no manufacturer has editorial input into anything published here.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us at hello@laterlifehealth.com with the page address. We correct factual errors and note the change at the bottom of the page. Substantive corrections — a wrong price, a wrong refund window, a misread study — are dated rather than quietly edited.
Review cycle
Commercial pages are re-checked at least once every twelve months, and sooner when the price, the formula or the refund policy changes. The review pages carry the month of the last check in the byline.
Medical disclaimer
Articles here are general information, not a substitute for an assessment by a qualified clinician. See the full medical disclaimer.
