Affiliate Disclosure
Later Life Health is a commercial website. We pay for it with affiliate commissions, and this page explains exactly how that works, in plain language, because United States law (the FTC’s Endorsement Guides) and basic honesty both require it.
What an affiliate link is
When you click a link to a product on this site and buy it, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to the manufacturer’s website directly. We do not add anything to your cost, and we never see your payment details.
Most product links here go to offers sold through ClickBank, which acts as the retailer and processes the order, payment, delivery and refunds. When you buy, ClickBank records that the sale came from our link and pays us a commission.
How this affects what we write
It would be dishonest to pretend that commissions have no influence on which products we cover. They do: we write about products that have affiliate programs, because otherwise the site could not exist.
What we control is the content of the review. Specifically:
- No manufacturer pays us for a placement, a ranking, a score or a positive sentence. We do not sell reviews.
- No manufacturer reviews or approves our pages before publication.
- Every review includes the reasons a product may not suit you, including the weaknesses of its evidence and the conditions attached to its refund.
- When a product is not worth buying, we say so. That has cost us commissions and we accept it.
- Where a cheaper non-affiliate option makes more sense, we name it even though we earn nothing from it.
How you can tell
Pages containing affiliate links carry a disclosure box at the top. Outbound commercial links are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page code, which also tells search engines the link is commercial.
Health claims and independence
We are not a clinic, we are not your doctor, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Our reviews assess formulation, evidence and refund terms. They do not assess your personal medical situation, which only a clinician who has examined you can do.
